After we finished 2 days workshop, Gloria and other friends took us to this bar. Yes this is a bar.
이틀 일정의 워크샵이 모두 끝나고 선전에서 마지막 밤, 글로리아와 다른 친구들이 우리를 이 바로 데려갔다. 편의점 아니냐고? 바 맞다.
On the other side of the road from the workshop venue, the area was full of bars and drunk people. And it was Thursday.
워크샵 장소에 길을 건너자 유흥가가 나타났다. 목요일인데도 사람들이 가득차 있었다.
There were various kinds of pubs and bars but we were heading somewhere special. Lancelot mistakenly spoiled by mentioning 'convenience store'
다양한 술집이 있었지만 우린 좀 특별한 곳으로 향했다. 란셀롯이 '편의점으로 간다'고 해서 주변에서 그걸 미리 얘기하면 어떡하냐고 핀잔을 들었다. 편의점?
Seriously? And Gloria opened the freezer door and walked inside. That was a fake store and actually entrance to the bar. There was a cozy bar inside. On the second floor, there was also a secret door where the switch is hidden. There was interesting writings on the wall: Be naked when you get home.
정말 편의점으로 우리를 데려온건가? (그래도 강사 접대인데...) 아무렇지 않게 쿨한척 하고 있는데 글로리아가 냉장고 문을 열고 들어간다. 편의점은 장식이고 사실은 입구였던거다. 안쪽은 아늑한 분위기의 바였는데 2층 입구가 또 비밀의 문이다. 문을 열려면 책이던가 장식품이던가 뭔가를 건드려야 한다. 그리고 뒷편의 벽에는 이렇게 써있다. "집에 가려면 옷 다 벗고 가라."
They have unique cocktails.
칵테일이 다양하게 구비되어 있었는데 중국이라 그런건지 이 가게가 특이한건지 색다른 칵테일이 많았다.
This looks like secret potion, but it's also a cocktail.
비밀의 묘약 같지만 이것도 칵테일이다.
We have heard interest stories like China is so big that the north and the south has much differences such as how people look and what kind of food they eat. And Michelle found her finger twins!
중국 문화에 대한 얘기를 많이 들었는데 그중 남방계와 북방계의 차이가 흥미로웠다. 마침 일행중에 대표적인 남방계와 북방계가 한 명씩 있었는데 신기할 정도로 설명과 일치했다. 예를 들면, 북방계는 해산물이 없어서 고기를 많이 먹고, 생김새는 코가 높고 눈이 크고 살이 찐 체형이란다. 그리고 그분께서는 엄지손가락이 짧은 손가락쌍둥이를 발견했다.
We were talking about how we do afterparty in Korea and found that we didn't eat food. So now to the 2nd round.
사실 뒷풀이 자리에 음식이 없어서 (중국인데!) 조금 실망하고 있었는데 한국 뒷풀이 문화를 얘기하다 보니 자연스럽게 2차로 이동하게 됐다.
