(Phu Quoc) Bánh mì Nhung ★★★★★

21 Hùng Vương, TT. Dương Đông, Phú Quốc, An Giang, Vietnam

  • Spicy, delicious bánh mì for just 20,000 VND. It’s takeout only, but the coffee shop next door kindly let us eat inside. Even a tour bus made a stop here — that says it all!

Why is it so different from ones in Korea?

We took an uber to Duong Dong Night Market. The last time we're here I wondered about this wide open place, and found out that it turned out to be Old Duong Dong Airport that was used by U.S. Air Force.

We stopped earlier to check out this restaurnat, Chè CÔ TIÊN PQ, but I could never find the place.

Now I found out from Google Maps that it was permanently closed.

This Hanioan restaurant has perfect 5 stars reviews but they were already closing.

Cơm tấm Bính Ký was also popular and full of locals, but I was never sure if I could order properly using body language.

We were lucky to end up in this small Banh Mi take-out.

A cat in the next grocery store was being loved everyone passing by.

There's another.

I don't mind sitting on a street but wanted to give here comfortable place to eat Banh Mi. There was MER COFFEE right next to the Banh mi Nhung, but couldn't find it from Google Maps. I asked if it's ok to eat food from outiside and the staff was ok with it. However, the available menus were limited excluding coffee because electiricty had been cut off, which seemed to happen quite often in Phu Quoc.

Banh Mi 30 x2

I don't remember what they were but it was only 30 VND each with all those fruit.

It was spicy and good. We can find Bahn Mi also in Korea but they're never same, not even close, which I don't understand why. Pho is also ridiculously expensive in Korea. I'm sure that Korea is one of the worst country for Vietnamese food in a view of originality and price.

Even a tour bus stopped here for Bahn Mi.
