I've searched for Tapas restaurants near the hotel. Fail. I don't plan to eat Korean here, but it's still good to see Korean signs.  The Golesa semmed to be already popular places, it has another interesting aspect for Korean visitors. The kind owner used to work in Korea for several years. he was the best Korean-speaking foreigner I've ever met. He's so fun and friendly and even told us some experiences in Korea. The variety of the menu was overwhelming, so it took us a while to make a decision. He explained that this is basically Spanish tapas restaurant but he added some traditional cuisine from his own country. So we also ordered a

Be there a little early before tapas run out. 2022-09-06 TUE It was 9PM, which is not that late for dinner in Spain, however not easy to find a place to eat. Our first destination was El miniBAR near the Plaza Mayor, so we took metro for a quite long way to here, but it turned out to be fully booked. We came to far anyway, so moved over to the San Miguel Market nearby, expensive though. It was clear that people even don't have seats. Google map showed some restaurants in the Plaza Mayor, so moved again. It had more energetic atmosphere than daytime. However, we were not satisfied with the tourist-oriented mood, so left again. We came back to the area where our hotel,  SLEEP'N Atocha  is located, but Tinto y Tapas San Pedro is closed. After four times of failure, we finally found a place open. You can enjoy various tapas. In order to use the toilet, you should get a ticket after buying something or pay 0.5 EUR.   2022-09-06 TUE If you walk a block from the Plaza Mayor to the west, the direction to the Royal Palace of Madrid, you can find the San Miguel Market on you left. It looks like a regular sized building but there's more space to the right. It is full of my favorites such as smoked salmon and sardine.  And Jamon! It's not a traditional market, but there are still much to see and of course eat. While buying a tapas, I asked where the toilet is, then the staff gave me this ticket. The toilet is underground and a lady checks this ticket. If you don't have it, you should pay 0.5 EUR. These two small tapas cost 3.5 EUR. A little expensive but worth it. back to Madrid (2022)

We loved paella, jamon, and sangria! 2022-09-05 MON There are chances you can enter some of the museums in Madrid for free. In case of the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza, it's 12~16 on Mondays. However, it was a little late for this one but could go to the Museum Reina Sofia later. The Museum Reina Sofia is near our hotel, SLEEP'N Atocha . We had lunch at this Tapas restaurant, Mas Al Sur, that was at the top of my search results of the restaurants near the hotel. Unfortunately, the outdoor tables were all occupied, so we took the on near the entrance instead. The atmosphere is like a pub.  Wines are quite cheap, especially compared to Barcelona. If you want to taste more, you'd better dine with other friends. It was spacious but there were not enough staff, so we often had to wait to order. 여행에서 식사에 있어서만은 일행이 많을 수록 좋다. 먹을 수 있는 끼니와 용량은 정해져 있는데, 여럿이서 시키면 이것저것 맛 볼 수 있으니까. 더군다나 타파스처럼 기본적으로 작은 음식들이 여럿 나오는 스타일은 더 그런 것 같다. 대체로 만족스러웠지만 넓은 공간에 비해 일하는 사람이 적어서 뭐 하나 물어보거나 주문하려고 해도 한참 기다려야 하는게 불편했다. 나중에 DC에서 같은 간판을 발견하고 체인인걸 알았다. 그렇다고 대형 체인은 아니고 지점이 4개 정도 있는 듯. 매우 어려운 종류의 메뉴가 따로 있었고 이건 이벤트 메뉴인 듯 각 센션에서 하나씩 고르면 된다.
