Mühlenstraße 3-100, 10243 Berlin, Germany   You can enjoy artworks with various styles and understand artists' ideas and attitudes when the Berlin Wall was opened. Highly recommended if you are interested in these. 2023-05-17 WED While she was taking more break, I looked around the East Side Gallery by myself.  Mercedes Plats I'm not a big fan of cars, and now I remember that Benz is German. There is also graffiti on the riverside, but most of the paintings are on the other side. Test the Rest - Birgit Kinder "The Test the Rest mural painted on the Berlin Wall at the East Side Gallery, depicts a Trabant car that is breaking through the wall. The Trabant was the most common vehicle in Eastern Germany and therefore depicts the formal communist state of Eastern Germany. The mural was painted in 1990 by Birgit Kinder." https://www.dreamstime.com/editorial-stock-photo-test-rest-berlin-wall-east-side-gallery-mural-painted-depicts-trabant-car-breaking-image50244243 I reachd

Cora-Berliner-Straße 1, 10117 Berlin, Germany   We had such strong emotional experience here and learned a lot. 2023-05-17 WED This memorial was not really my "must-go" but it way on our walking route anyway. But we had such strong emotional experience here and learned a lot. The museum is underground and the round was filled with random sized cubes. First this reminded me of coffins, but I could feel something more from the overall structure and arrangement.  This is why we must learn history. People need to realize that it's not only some tragedy happened in old times or in other countries, but can be always our own story. The most emotional part was the actual letters hand-written before people die. Many were sobbing in this room. The shoes we've seen in Budapest. Back on the ground, walked among the bricks, which felt weird especially after visiting the museum. back to Berlin (2023)

Bernauer Str. 111, 13355 Berlin, Germany   Recommended if you are interested in dark tourism. Learned a lot of facts that I didn't know about the Wall. 2023-05-16 TUE Berlin is a beautiful city but, there is no single must-go place such as Eiffel tower in Paris. So I decided to visit places in the order of distance from our hotel. In that respect, our first destination was the Berlin Wall Memorial that is only a few minutes walk.  Walls are full graffiti. I can feel that Berlin is a city of freedom. Interesting wall paintings. At first, we were not sure what we're looking at, but this is it. The poles represent where the walls existed before.  Even the regular houses nearby were supportive to the memorial.  The history is well explained, so you can learn a lot while walking.  The site is huge, so you'd better decided where to begin in advance.  In the wall.  The cross that fell from the old church that was torn down during the construction of the wall.  Everything was writt
