Ackerstraße 157, 10115 Berlin, Germany   A cafe / bistro in a quiet back street. Only bread available in the early morning. 2023-05-17 WED Day 3 in Berlin. A cafe seen from our hotel room. She wanted to check out but it was not open yet. A tower seen from the hotel area. Our hotel, perfectly located right next to 24 hours open market with tons of beer. There were only a few places open for early breakfast, but the ones near the metro station seemed too crowded. So we walked a little for somewhere quiet in the back street.  The cafe also serves meal but turned out not in this early morning. I still wanted to try this bread with something like salami or ham. back to Berlin (2023)

Alte Schönhauser Str. 46, 10119 Berlin, Germany   As an Asian it's over-priced but the food was very good. You may wait to get in. 2023-05-16 TUE We don't miss Korean food as much as other Koreans do, but she still needed warm soup as a kind of soul food especially when tired. This Vietnamese restaurant is very popular but luckily we didn't have to wait that long to get in. They only provide digital menu, which is good for many reasons such as less use of paper, but it was not easy to remember the names of Vietnamese food.  So I screen-captured the menus that we'd order.  Berlin Berg Pale Ale 3.6 Delicately and classically brewed, unfiltered craft beer from the heart of Berlin. 10178 Berlin, Germany   You can eat, buy, or just relax. Many cost-effective clothes. 2023-05-16 TUE We still had time to go back to the hotel with our validated ticket, since it lasts for 2 hours. So we took a bus to the Alexanderplatz to buy something warm to wear.  World Time Clock Interesting fact: Because it was built when East Germany was governing, the cities of communist countries are listed first. You can find Pyongyang, Tokyo, and then Seoul.  And I found this fancy cardigan that is only 4.99 EUR! Somehow other Berliners were not interested in this item.  back to Berlin (2023)

Burgstraße 28, 10178 Berlin, Germany A perfect place for relaxing on the grass with the beautiful Cathedral and river. 2023-05-16 TUE She didn't have mush energy left to look around. So we gave up new tourists attractions and decided to just hang out somewhere comfortable for the rest of the day.  We happened to find the Berlin Cathedral nearby and just headed to that way.  And we found this beautiful park with warm sun lights.  I wanted to lay down on the grass like others but she was not comfortable with this. So we just relaxed on a bench instead.  Now I recall that this was the museum island but we failed to visit any of those museums.  back to Berlin (2023)

Rosenthaler Str. 40, 10178 Berlin, Germany   Was not interesting much. Expected something like a traditional market but it was not. 2023-05-16 TUE She was feeling tired from traveling and walking around. So I thought that shopping may give her a chance to refresh.  It is a "complex of interlinked Jugendstil courtyards home to boutiques, cafes & art exhibitions". It is separated by the age of customers, which is quite helpful. However, the price is a bit high compared to Korea, so didn't buy any. I expected something like a traditional market but it was not.  back to Berlin (2023)

Bernauer Str. 111, 13355 Berlin, Germany   Recommended if you are interested in dark tourism. Learned a lot of facts that I didn't know about the Wall. 2023-05-16 TUE Berlin is a beautiful city but, there is no single must-go place such as Eiffel tower in Paris. So I decided to visit places in the order of distance from our hotel. In that respect, our first destination was the Berlin Wall Memorial that is only a few minutes walk.  Walls are full graffiti. I can feel that Berlin is a city of freedom. Interesting wall paintings. At first, we were not sure what we're looking at, but this is it. The poles represent where the walls existed before.  Even the regular houses nearby were supportive to the memorial.  The history is well explained, so you can learn a lot while walking.  The site is huge, so you'd better decided where to begin in advance.  In the wall.  The cross that fell from the old church that was torn down during the construction of the wall.  Everything was writt
