(Catania) Piccadilly House ★★★

Piazza Vincenzo Bellini, 1, 95131 Catania CT, Italy 

• good location but need maintenance. located in a beautiful plaza, close to main tourist area. kind and helpful staff. bathroom lock borken, noisy, and smelly. dim room light.

B&B in Catania. I keep bloggin on this trip after I came back from Vung Tau, Vietnam. 

I've heard that "overbooking" is a standard procedure in airlines, but it was the first time I've actually experienced it. Our flight was supposed to depart at 12:10 but boarding was being delayd to solve the issue.

So, I've asked ChatGPT what happens if flight is overbooked.

So basically the airline can bump you if there are not enough volunteers and you check in late. Good to know.

Finally boarding, feeling sorry for the anonymous victims.

Departing at 13:30. 1 hour and 20 minutes delayed

Good bye Malta. I still could see the peninsular of Valletta.

Landed at 14:00. The pilost must have flied quite fast to save 15 minutes from 45 minutes flight.

I planned to take Uber but it'd cost €23 instead of €17 that I've found from internet.

So we took the AliBus instead. It ran quite frequently. 

It's €4 each and valid for 90 minutes that I may be able to use it again after check in the B&B, but didnt' happen that way. The whole area is just walkable.

The Picadilly House is located in the piazza Vincenzo Bellini with the famous opera house, Teatro Massimo Bellini, so the neighborhood is good in a classic and calm area away from busy streets.

There are also some cafes and bars in the plaza.

The room is cozy but the balcony doesn't have a view, and it is shared with the next room, so a bit cautious. Also I didnt' realized in the daythem but the light was too dim at nights.

It's just that I don't have much B&B experience, but the bathroom was the worst in that It was smelly, the toilet kept making noise and the lock was broken.
