Lunch on the second day in Shenzhen. We found this restaurant while looking around our hotel.
선전 둘쨋날 아침이자 점심 식사. 호텔 주변을 배회하다가 발견했다.

You can check at the paper, but no English menu. Here, napkins is complimentary.
메뉴판체 체크하는 김밥천국 시스템인데 다 한자다. 어떡하지. 그런데 티슈 줘서 좋네.

However, Michelle couldn't think of anything else since she found this juice menu.
그건 그렇고 그분 눈에 들어와 팍 박혀버린 아보카도 바나나 주스.

모두 한자들.

However, Google translation with camera worked really well, so we didn't have much problem.
그런데 카메라로 인식하는 구글 번역기가 예상 외로 중국어에도 잘 작동해서 큰 문제 없이 주문했다.

At last she met avocado banana juice, which turned out to be hot. what?
그분이 고대하던 아봐카도 바나나 주스가 나왔는데 뜨겁다? 그런데 맛은 있다고.

Some soup with cucumber and oysters. I liked it. I always enjoy soups when I travel.
오이랑 굴이 들어간 슾인데 약간 굴국밥이랑 비슷하다. 국물요리는 실패하는 법이 없다.

The staff was very kind, not like the terrible service experience I had 10 years ago in Shanghai. I guess Shenzhen is influenced by Hong Kong much.
중국은 우리 기준으로 보면 불친절한 걸로 유명한데 일하시는 분들이 상당히 친절해서 놀랬다. 홍콩 인접 지역이다보니 홍콩 영향을 받지 않았나 싶다. 그런데 생각해보니 홍콩도 별로 친절하진 않았는데.

A kind of stew with something I don't know well but still delicious.
뭔가 알 수 없는 재료들이 잔뜩 들어간 찜 혹은 탕 요리. 아까도 맛있었지만 이게 더 맛있었다. 국물을 조금씩 부어가며 먹는 특이한 스타일.

It seemed like they still don't care much about indoor smoking.
아직 실내 흡연이 어느정도 이루어지는 듯 하다.

We were interested in this big tangerine-ornamented statue, and were explained later that it is tradition for good luck.
가게 앞에 이렇게 귤을 주렁주렁 달아놓은 화환(?)이 여기 뿐만 아니라 다른 곳에서도 보이길래 궁금했는데, 나중에 들어보니 복이나 뭐 그런걸 기원하는 중국 풍습이란다.
