Malta   sandy beach with big waves. better to hang out than rocky beach of Malta. 2024-09-11 WED playing with waves. I loved to visit  Tal-Mixta Cave  because of the scenic view, the uphill was so stiff that we couldn't even ride our e-bikes. So we just turned around and headed to Ramla beach nearby. lesson learend : DO NOT STICK TO BIKES AND CONSIDER DRIVING Entrance to the beach. Was not lucky enough to encounter them. The wooden floor was very convenient so that you don't have to walk on sands, and it's a little far to the bathing area. Renting umbrella was 5 EUR, which is not expensive at all especially compared to Korea. There is a shop near the entrance, where you can buy drinks and snacks.  In the main island Malta, we can find sea water everywhere, but it's mostly rocky. The sand beach with big waves was much better to hang out in that sense. Probably only in Gozo. back to Malta (2024.9)

St Julian's, Malta   Very unique narrow beach surrounded by buildings. Perfect to place to cool down after walking around St Julian's and Sliemma. 2024-09-09 MON A small beach in the very center of a city. Coming back from Mdina.  Probably Spinola Bay ? We took off the bus to walk around St Julian's and Sliema, and back to our hotel. Then we found this hidden gem of St Julian's.  It's a narrow bay surrounded by tall buildings, that makes a very unique scene and atmosphere.  I'd like to check out Ballugta Kiosk as guidebook suggested, but she wanted to move on.  We'll be back.  2024-09-10 TUE After lunch at  Forty Fishes,  we hung out at Balluta Bay Beach.  The water is no so clean probably because of the geographical structure, but I liked the atmosphere with this beautiful building of church. back to Malta (2024.9)

Malta Spectacular diving spot. shop in town before coming. boat trip companies to get here, are not much different but book a few hours early. 2024-09-08 SUN The name is "pool", but it's more like a diving point.  In order to get to the St. Peter's Pool, Google Map showed it's 35m walk. I don't mind walking around but there many not be much too see on the route, so I chose to take the boat trip. There are boat trip booths from different companies along the Marsaxlokk Open Market. We carefully chose one, but I don't think there're much difference after I came back. However, it can be sold out early, so you'd better book in advance. Also, after arrival, you need to keep the return ticket.  St Peter's Pool  4.5 < walk  35m There seemed to be nothing around, so we've bought some snack and beer. However, I gave up drinking beer because it may be illegal seeing there're no one does so near the pool.  There were two other ladies on the way ...

Hua Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Thailand   not best for swimming bu still good for relaxing 2022-11-16 WED Hanging out near the pool is fun but since we are in Hua Hin, we wanted to check out the beach. It took about 5 minutes from  Putahracsa Hua Hin  by Grab. There is a road from the entrance to the beach, and many shops are attracting tourists along the road. It's just like in Korea. The seashore was not the best for swimming and water activity but still good for relaxing. We took another route when we got out, and it turned out to lead to a hotel area. Probably "Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin". It was huge, modern and clean but I still preferred a small and cozy one with nearby pool like ours. back to Hua Hin (2022)
