Plaça de l'Olivar, s/n, Centre, 07002 Palma, Illes Balears, Spain   Look around the market and enjoy various food. Check all the sellers and their reviews before order. 2025-05-08 THU Dining in the corner of a market.  We took a bus to the Mercat de l’Olivar to have brunch, hopefully in the market, otherwise somewhere nearby.  We took off at  Pl. d'Espanya  where we arrived from other areas via bus or train.  The whole market is inside this broad building.  There was a shared seating area where you can eat food from various shops.  tarta de salmon 9.5 Sardina 2.5 Frito de Marisco 7 I thought that 'frito' means 'deep-fried' but the menu truned out to be 'stir-fried seafood'. Plaça de la Llibertat, 1, 9, 07760 Ciutadella de Menorca, Illes Balears, Spain   Very small and not much to see for tourists. 2025-05-02 FRI Mrning market tour. I've got a big cup of coffee from the hotel and watch people passing by sitting on the street. A benefit of staying in the middle of the old town.  It seems taht Menorca Lindy Exchange is a part of the bigger project, Menorca Jass Festival.  The market is very small and not much for tourists. Seems like a nice place for beer break. Checked the operation hour.  The fish market.  Fruits and Vegetables 2025-05-03 SAT Yesterday here was not much to buy, but I could find tables like this today, which probably open only on weekends. While others were dancing I was into this.  Menorca (2025.4)

Pl. de España, 1, 07701 Mahón, Balearic Islands, Spain   It's not cheap but good to try various tapas with wine. 2 of us spent more than €40. 2025-04-28 MON When you'r in Spain, you eat tapas. Església del Carme (to be posted) is up on the hill, and works as a start point of tour. Mercat des Peix is right down the hill. The gate seems to show the old tradtion of the market. "Pescateria 1927 Fish Market This rectangular shaped building with a large courtyard replaced the original fish market." The building on the right when you enther the gate, is full of tapas restaurants. A local branch of the Pintxos in Barcelona? Probably that's the reason why this shop is the most popular among the customers. It's not cheap but good to try various tapas with wine. Anyway everything is not cheap in Spain for now.   Bocadito Boqueron 5.5 Paella, Chipirones 17.5 Duc de foix 3.5 Albenc 4.5 I liked her Duc de foix, so ordered another glass later. tomato juice? + Bruschetta? €7 ...
