So we parked near the riverside and went back to the night market for dinner. People were doing something like Taichi. The atmosphere is quite different from Ong Lang, and somehow it even kind of felt like Hong Kong. Massage before dinner. She carefully checked each shope based on her standard including if they have old ladies. I liked it and if I visit the night market again, I'll definitely come back here too. back to Phu Quoc (2023)

I found one with good reviews on the way back to the hotel, and took a cab. I liked this song from the radio, but Shazaam was not good enough to read the title. The Sam Yan Massage was just 350 meters away, but the traffic was horrible. You'd better choose different route or time, if you pass by this area around rush hour. Only one customer available, so I just walked around while she got massage. I bought a beer in a small shop of the back street, and drank like a local. Scent of meat! back to Bangkok (2022)

Reservation recommended. 2022-11-15 TUE We were satisfied with Massage Garden , but just wanted to check out other massage shops.  This one is located in a small street and less crowded. We've got 1 hour food massage. From where I got massage, I could see the shop in the next building. There was a painter who is working on his painting while drinking Chang. One brush and one sip of beer. Somehow that sounds like a life in Thailand. back to Hua Hin (2022)

Later I've heard that the reason why Thai massage is reliable is because all the masseuses learn from the same central institute. back to Hua Hin (2022)

29/5D Hoàng Hoa Thám, Bình Thạnh, Hồ Chí Minh, Vietnam 2018-01-22 MON We were sorry that we couldn't get massages but got a chance at the last moment, in a beauty salon. 호치민에 머무르는 동안 마사지도 못받고 가는건가 아쉬워하고 있었는데 공항으로 떠나기 직전 뚜이네 집 근처에서 마사지를 받을 수 있었다. 그런데 뷰티살롱? After greetings to Thuy's family, we went for massages and dinner. 뚜이네 마당(?)이다. 뚜이네 식구들과 인사를 하고 잠시 짐을 맡겨놓고 나왔다. Girls in a hurry. So many to do, but never enough time. 할일은 많고 시간은 없고, 바쁘다. While Thuy and Michelle went to buy something, I got massages first. It was quite good, especially considering the price. However, it turned out that they didn't have time for massage, so changed the plan to get something(dry?) for their hair, instead massages. 뚜이랑 그분은 뭔가를 사러 간다길래 나 먼저 마사지를 받았다. 가격 대비 괜찮은 듯. 끝나고 나와보니 그분은 시간이 지체되었는지 마사지 받을 시간이 없어서 대신 드라이(?)를 받았단다. 드라이라니. 여자들의 세계는 죽을 때까지 배울게 생기는 듯. back to Ho Chi Minh (2018)

1 Park Road, #03-37, PEOPLE'S PARK COMPLEX, Singapore 059108 2017. 10. 7. 토. 차이나 타운 메트로 역을 지나서 길 반대편으로 건너가면, 우리나라의 테크노마트를 연상케 하는 건물이 하나 나타나는데 마사지샵이 밀집된 지역이다. 테크노마트가 아니라 남부터미널이려나. 전국노래자랑? 에스컬레이터를 올라와서 차이나타운 방향을 돌아본 방향. 마사지샵이 워낙 많고 호객 행위도 많아서 어디로 갈지 갈피 잡기가 어렵다. 가이드북에서 추천한 곳은 하나 뿐인데 손님이 만석인 것 같다. 한바퀴 돌고 작전 회의. 둘 다 여자 마사지사를 선호해서 대충 기웃거리다가 여자 마사지사가 많은 곳을 찾아 들어간 곳이 여기다. 다른 곳은 대부분 남자 마사지사들이 많았다. 별로 유명한 곳인 것 같지는 않다. 발마사지 30분에 15 SGD. 영업시간은 11~9시. 마사지 받으며 배운 말레이시아어. 사켓(아파) 띠다사켓(안아파) 오른발 안쪽 패인 부분을 마사지할 때 아프다고 했더니 stomach 때문이라고, spicy food 먹었냐고 그러더라. 어두운 실내에 TV가 틀어져 있는데 마사지사들이 자막 달린 한국 드라마를 보면서 마사지를 하고 있었다. 한드가 인기긴 하구나. 랜덤으로 들어갔는데 마사지가 적당히 좋아서 둘 다 매우 만족했다. 그래서 다음날인가 한 번 더 갔는데 나는 같은 마시자가 있었지만 그분은 처음 받았던 마사지사가 없어서 새로운 사람을 불러서 했다. 그런데 이 분 하는 모양새가 손에 비닐장갑을 끼고 대충대충 하는게 내가 옆에서 봐도 별로였다. 발이 좀 그렇긴 해도 마사지란게 원래 맨손이 기본 아닌가? 그렇게 실패를 하고 떠나는 마지막 날은 아예 해당 마사지사를 지정해서 예약을 해놨는데 결국 일정에 쫓겨서 취소해야 했다는 슬픈 이야기. ★★☆ 2016. 3. 7. 월. Vuon Xua 에서 점심을 먹고 전에 짱구가 소개해줬던 스파로 마사지를 받으러 가기로 했다. 가는 길에 시장을 지나다 보니 처음 식사를 했던 Central Market 이 보인다. 1~2일만 더 머물렀어도 여기 다시 오고 싶었는데. 시장 입구(?) 쪽에 있는 우물. 관광객이 만이 지나다니는 길이다 보니 실제 사용하는건 아닌 것 같고, 일종의 관광 목적으로 유지하고 있는 것 같다. 앞에는 뭐뭐 하지 말라는 경고 문구가 쓰여 있다. 얼핏 보기에도 꽤 깊어보이는 우물. 무서워서 더 가까이 못감. 코코넛 마니아 그분께서는 오늘도 코코넛 한 통을 깨십니다. 큼직한 코코넛 한통이 단돈 2만동. 천원 정도. 속살 한숟갈도 놓칠 수 없다. 그것도 모자라서 비닐봉투 달래서 포장까지. 천원짜리 코코넛을 참 알차게도 드신다. 택시를 타고 짱구네 숙소 근처에 있다는 마사지샵으로 이동. 허름해 보이는 곳인데, 마사지가 거기서 거기겠지 싶어서, 기왕이면 원래 저렴한데다 짱구가 친구디스카운트까지 걸어놨다는데로 가기로 했다. 작은 업소이다 보니 주인은 1명인 것 같고 손님 수에 따라 근처 일꾼(?)들을 불러모으는 시스템 같았다. 문제는 발+전신의 구성에 시간 안배 관계 없이 균일가라는 건데, 침대가 모자라다 보니 늦게 들어간 그분께서는 전신은 받는 둥 마는 둥 나와서 노여움이 꽤 크셨다. 여행 잘 끝나가다가 불안불안. Reservation is highly recommended. We visited without reservation, so we only had foot massage. Maybe there are better ones, but if you're not sure, you can rely on Pamarosa. 2016. 3. 5. 토. Pho Xua 에서 비로소 만족스런 식사를 마치고 유명하다는 맛사지 샵을 찾았다. 혹시나 하고 그냥 와보긴 했는데, 아무래도 인기가 많아서인지 예약이 없으면 이용이 힘든 곳인 것 같았다. 대신 공간 제약이 적은 발마사지는 가능하다고 해서 30분 받아보고 괜찮으면 다음에 전신 마사지 예약을 하기로 했다. 다행히 마사지 전에 냄새 제거... 되었겠지. 마사지 받는 동안 시원한 차 한 잔. 마사지는 만족스러웠는데, 짱구가 자기 호텔 근처에 저렴한 곳이 있다고 한게 생각나서 일단 예약은 안하기로 했다. 그런데 그냥 여기서 할 걸 그랬다.
