Very cost-effective and heavy Menu Del Dia, which is only 12.50 EUR for 3 plates.

I looked for a place to eat on the way to Gran Via for shopping. There are many restaurants but mostly franchise fast food. However, I manged to find one with good reviews.

We had a little hard time to find the entrance but it turned out that the restaurant is run by the hostel with the same name. At first it looked like a hamburger house so I worried that it was a wrong choice.

It looks modern and trendy not like the ones we visited so far.

It is located underground but still cozy and bright thanks to the big windows.

I've heard about Menu del Dia, which is like lunch set menu, but finally we had a chance to experience, because we usually eat meals late. You can choose any drink including beer.

They didn't have wines in the menu (in Spain?), but still could my favorite Tinto de verano. 

Starter: Caprese Salad (Fresh salad of mozzarella and cherry tomatoes with pesto)

Starter: Fries Yucca Sticks (Crunchy cassava sticks with garlic mayonnaise and parsley)

At first I thought that it's potato but the texture was different. It reminded me of Chinese yam.

This is Yucca. Probably the first time I try. It's good that it taste almost like potato but healthier.

Main: Ropa Vieja with Chickeas (Blood sausage, chorizo, and bacon with roasted chickpeas)

Starter was so big that we were already full, but now we have these mains.

Main: Fish N Chips (Cod in tempura with potatoes, yogurt sauce and tonkatsu)

We asked for tomato ketchup. Probably Spanish don't eat fires with ketchup.

Dessert: Chocolate Brownie with Cream Ice Cream

Dessert: Fresh Fruit Salad
