I was supposed to visit finance related institute or museum, so picked the Mint Museum in Madrid. It is located a little outside of the city center, but could enjoy nice walk from the metro station thanks to the friendly neighborhood.
The Royal Mint of Spain is the model of the main building in Money Heist, but it is said that they filmed somewhere else. So it looks different from the show.
The Mint Museum is behind the Royal Mint of Spain.
The entry is free but you need to show your passport. The staff didn't speak English but didn't have much problem with the process.
Take the elevator and go up to the 3rd floor.
There is museum staff working on the floor and gave me brief introduction.
The audio guide is accessible via internet for free, and was very useful.
Shell that was used as currency in prehistoric time.
Why no Korean money?
There were not many visitors, so I could enjoy the calm moment.
An old machine to make coins.
Olympic medals.
They even have (probably replicas of) famous art works.
