크리스마스 빛의 축제
크리스마스라 대부분의 시설이 운영을 하지 않는데 마침 애틀랜타 보타닉 가든에서 Garden Lights, Holy Nights라는 행사가 하길래 미리 예매하고 방문했다. 비용은 두 명에 68.24 USD가 들었다. 전에 싱가포르에서 워낙 큰 규모의 비슷한 시설들을 봐서 그런지 생각보다 별로라는 반응도 있었는데, 개인적으로는 뭔가 좀 더 미국적인 느낌이어서 좋았다. 따뜻한 차를 한 잔 마시면서 천천히 둘러보는 재미가 있다.
I found out that there is a festival called Garden Lights, Holy Nights in the Atlanta Botanic Garden. So I booked tickets for 2 people with 68.24 USD.
It took 4.69 USD by Lyft from the hotel. I tipped her much probably because she was nice.
리프트로 호텔에서 4.69불 나왔다. 기사분이 친절했는지 팁을 넉넉히 주었다.
On the way to the garden, we passed by a quiet neighborhood where all the houses are beautifully decorated, but my hand was not stable enough to catch it.
가든으로 가는 길에 조용한 동네를 지났는데 집 하나한 예쁘게 장식해 놓은 것이 인상적이었다. 사진으로 한 장 남기고 싶었는데 똥손이 안도와줬다.
There is a long queue of card to get in the garden, so we took off at the entrance. 가든 내로 진입하려는 차들의 행렬이 보여서 입구에서 내렸는게 나중에 걸어들어가면서 그 길이를 보니 잘했다 싶더라.
Too late to go back. 안타깝지만 돌아가긴 늦으셨네요.
There is a little snack bar in the garden. Hot chocolate was 6 USD.
가든 안쪽에 작은 스낵바가 있었는데 핫초콜릿 6불이었다. 관광지는 관광지.
This is the only facility where you have to wait in line.
여기만 유일하게 줄서서 입장을 기다려야 한다.
There are mini rails and Thomas! Kids couldn't leave the spot.
장난감 기차가 돌아다니는 전시물. 그리고 토마스도 있다. 애들이 떠날 줄은 모른다.
After coming back, I had this beer and the leftover of the Chinese food we ordered for dinner. I tried to buy water from the mini shop, but there was none in the freezer. The staff brought some from behind and gave me for free, because they made me to wait. What a pleasant service.
호텔로 돌아와서 저녁 때 남은 중국음식과 맥주 한 잔. 호텔 1층의 가게에서 물을 사려고 했는데 냉장고에 물이 없어서 로비에 얘기했더니 물을 공짜로 주더라. "우리가 너를 기다리게 했으니까"라며. 하지만 맥주는 비쌌다. 6불.
