Frankly, as a non-US citizen, Lincoln Memorial and Reflecting Pool reminds me of the scenes from the famous films, than the historical meanings. The first impression I've got when I saw the reflecting pool: Forest Gump. And the view was spectacular. However, when you see closer, the water is dirty and full of duck shit.
이름은 몰랐지만 이런 저런 영화에서 등장한 그 길쭉한 못. Reflecting Pool이란다. Forrest Gump의 Jenny가 뛰어들었던 곳... 똥물이었다. 오리똥물. 어쨌든 멀리서 보면 장관이다. 특히 Lincoln Memorial 위에서 바라본 Reflecting Pool이 최고.
