Not much to do with Pompeii, but still my favorite photo.

I've booked online the previous day. Probably you need to book earlier when hot season. A limited number of people are permitted to enter easy day for the purpose of protection of the site. 1 additional euro is required for presale fee but it worths it.

"For a visit to Pompeii, choose between the "Pompeii Express" ticket for the main ruins or the "Pompeii Plus" ticket for access to the ruins and the suburban villas (Villa dei Misteri, Villa di Diomede, Villa Regina, and the Antiquarium)."

I thought that the main ruins would be big enough to look around, and it turned out to be right for us.

Walking to the Napoli P. Garibaldi train station.

The train deaprts every hour, takes 45 minutes, and costs €3.3 per person for one-way to Pompeii.

Checking platform number.

Hip and cute train.

Basic but spacious and modern.

Leaving to Pompeii.

It took less than 40 minutes. Everyone just got off here so don't worry to miss the stop.

That's the entrance but as Koreans say, ""Even Mount Geumgang is best seen after a meal."

Lunch at the Ristorante Pizzeria La Gare (will be posted)

Mobile ticket.

Here we are. Basilica Pompeiana.

The Mount Vesuvius is still an active volcano.

The other side. This the only place where you can see lots of tourists, and the rest of the park is so huge that you can enjoy nice and calm visit.

I wondered why cats are hanging out here where there doesn't seems to be any food, but it turned out that there're people regulary feed them and we've met of them.

Pompeii used to be a big city, and every road looks like this, just like modern metropolis. So you'd better keep tracking your location to see how much area you've covered so far.

Casa del Fauno (House of the Faun). Most of the major places names after the owner of the house, mostly rich people.

Imagine how rich they were, if there is this fountain in their front garden.

Some of the paintins were very well preserved.

I told you. It all looks same that you can be easily lost without the app.

Some areas not permitted to enter for maintenance.

Kitchen?

Cute fellas I've met in Pompeii.

They cuddled so tight that it looks like one big cat.

Another same photo of ruins? No, there's something hidden.

This nice lady is the mama of all these cats.

See how fast these lazy cats come around.

Back to where we started.

Taking a break before checking out the other side.

Terme Stabiane (Thermal baths)

Teatro Piccolo

Casa del Menandro (House of Menander)

Casa dell'Efebo (House of the Ephebus)

Lastly, Amphitheatre of Pompeii.

Inside the theater.

It must have been used for muscial concerts. Pink Floyd at Pompeii!

Getting out through the east gate.

We didn't have to walk back to the station we got off, because the trains also stop at the Pompei Santuario nearby.

There is also a commercial district on this side.

Luckily the volcano didn't erupt while we're there.

Back in Napoli.
