  • I loved the atmosphere in a small plaza with church. However, the pasta was too salty for us, and pork cheeks were crubmly, probably just a matter of persnal taste.

Lunch in the town after It-Tempji tal-Ġgantija


There are not many restaurants in Gozo except major towns such as Victoria, so I decided to eat lunch near the museum.


I wanted to eat in Latini Restaurant Xaghra Gozo, but the staff said that they close early for the day for some reason. 


It may be too late if we fail again, so we just had a table in a restaurant nearby. The view from outdoor tables with Xaghra Parish Church, was pretty nice.


They had only one or two tables left, so we have much choice but to sit in a table barely shaded from the sunlight.



This may be when I learned the word 'mocktail'.

She went for seafood pasta as usual.


After I tried rabbit arancini at Medina, I realized that it is hard to chew even thinking that I'm eating a rabbit, even though it's minced meat. So I ordered pork cheeks because it's still local.


Simple but good appetizer.

Linguine Marinara al Bianco 15.5
Mixed seafood, prawns, mussels, clams and squid cokked in white wine, garlic, herbs and a touch of tomato puree

However, the pasta was too salty, which she doesn't like. 


This is kinda pickle that came with main dishes, but this was the best.

Local Pork Cheeks 21.5
Slow cooked pork cheeks with garlic, onions and red wine reduction sauce served with mash potatoes.

And pork cheeks were too cumbly, which probably is not their fault but it's how it's supposed to be, and I made a wrong choice.


We are very generous about time in restaurants, but it took way too long. I think they had more customers than they can handle because another restaurant closed early.


Everyone left but us.


I said hello in cats language.


But it was not she wanted.
